
The SECVBD’s goal is to work as a multidisciplinary team with key public health stakeholders in the region in the search of new knowledge and strategies to detect, prevent, and control vector-borne diseases in the Southeastern U.S. and Caribbean. The center is led jointly by the University of South Carolina, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Florida International University, University of Miami, Old Dominion University, Ponce Health Sciences University, and the University of Florida alongside leaders of state public health and vector control agencies in our region.
